When it comes to having your wedding in Vancouver, there are so many venues to choose from that it’s difficult to know where to begin. Through my search I was able to narrow it down to three.

1. The Tea House at Stanley Park (formerly Sequoia Grill)

Located near English Bay in historical Stanley Park, this venue is perfect for a spring or summer wedding. The wedding coordinators are friendly and informative; the facilities, stunning. The Tea House offers their garden for an extra cost if you’d like the ceremony to be held outdoors with a beautiful view of the Georgia Straight.

Want to be closer to the water? No problem. Ferguson Point is steps away and can be rented through the Vancouver Parks Board. However, VPB has restrictions on the number of chairs and tents that can be used. The Tea House does not. The reception is held in an all glass room with a dance floor and can hold up to 150 people. The Tea House offers cocktail style or sit down dinners and has the longest sunset of any other venue in Vancouver.

*Minimum charge of $10,000

2. Hycroft Manor (Shaugnessy)

If being married in a mansion is your dream, than this is most certainly the best choice for you. Sprawling lawns and gardens, old world columns, and crown molding make this building masterfully beautiful. You can choose from 4 different caterers, all highly acclaimed in the Vancouver area. The downsides are that the linens and tableware are not included in pricing and the dance floor is downstairs, in a separate room. With the dance floor downstairs, it might be tricky to have your guests hear all the announcements.

*Minimum charge of $12,000

3. The Vancouver Club (Downtown Vancouver)

Glamour and elegance radiate in this enchanting venue. Located downtown near historical Gastown, you can be sure your guests will be impressed. The rooms have wooden walls and leather chairs, chandeliers, and antiques from when the club was originally built. A definite plus about this venue is the food. The Vancouver Club was originally established as a gentleman’s club for men who loved food, and has been the focus ever since. Rest assured that your guests will be eating an exquisite meal. The downside to having your wedding at The Vancouver Club is that there is no view of the beautiful Vancouver scenery.

*Minimum charge of $10,000

*Costs are based on 100 guests. Actual estimates may vary.
