TweetHow do you know when it’s the right time to scratch your business itch? I can tell you that your moment is right now. Your reading this tells me that you have the same drive and desire to inspire others with your creativity.
I can tell you from experience that taking this leap will be your toughest hurdle, but many agree with me when I say that it will also be the most rewarding.
Let’s go through the process of a new born entrepreneur: You’re sitting in your stale colored cubicle watching the hours go by wondering if that foul smell is coming from your lunch. You can’t tell if you’re hungover or the monotony of the day is getting to you.
You tell yourself you can’t go another day like this so you delve into the world of Google with your mind set on creating your own lifestyle magazine. Less than five minutes later you become jaded by the onslaught of information the world already has to offer.
Don’t let this discourage you! Despite the countless people that may share the same desire, it is your vision on how to make a product or service remarkable that sets you apart from any others.
Thus far you have entertained your curiosity as becoming the next up and coming entrepreneur – so what’s the next step? Knowing the right time to quit your 9-5 job. There’s no time like the present. So ask yourself “How bad do I want it?” For me it was a no brainer, I wanted it very bad!
If you have a dream, go for it! The job you have now will most likely be around if things do go sour. Without risk there’s no growth. So go to work willing to be fired – I did.
